Does anybody else remember this stuff???

These ninja's were Too bad ass.

This was my ish back in the day.. I vividly remember having a sippy cup in one hand and a poorly drawn treasure map in the other.

You just do not know how stoked I used to get for this to come on.

How epic was this ish!

I went ape shit over these for some reason.

On the real.. I was a little too old to be blowing off my friends to stay in and watch this.. but I did not care.. it was soooo good.

The true N3rd in me will shine.

I love Video Games like with a passion. This one is handz up my favorite of all time.

It was the first game that I was REALLY good at.

Most of the japanese that I learned while I lived over there was from going to arcade's in Tokyo and playing in tournements.

I broke my Sega Dreamcast because of MVC2.. I actually used to be ranked world wide a couple of years ago.. Like top 200 type ish.

This is Justin Wong... He's my favorite player and arch nemesis.. I played him once while I lived in SanDiego. (p.s. there is alot you guys dont know about me.)

I used to be a Nightmare to kids in this.. and Dood utterly destroyed me.. Glad nobody got a video of that.

This brings me too a good point. There are mad people famous in this world in their own right.
Mostly I only think of "Famous people" as celebs/musicians/actors/MMA fighthers/Athletes, but there are mad world reknowned doctor's/drivers/speakers/designers (technical designers) all over the place.

I think I just get stuck in this One tracked mindset that "If i'm not on the cover of the URB I haven't made it" This is wrong.

look at the people going wild for this guy... he's huge in his realm.

But beside's all that.. Anyone in RVA tryna have a Street Fighter Tourney of any kind?? or know of one that's already established?? Let me know.

Imagine This.

My first repeating section is Imagine This Pretty much just gonna be image's that speak to me. enjoy.

Speechless.

I kno dats right boo...

One Love..Once Loved.

mhm.

Not much I can say about Sir Banksy.

I'm Glad.

That i'm not a obsessed SneakerHead/Streetwear fiend anymore. I've started to realize that you only need about 10 to 15 pairs of really solid kicks to get you by, and some Boat shoe's/Topsiders for the summer time.

It's really a costly addiction that has no end in sight. No matter how many pairs you have, you can never be the best...NEVER!!! Some rapper or Tastemaker DJ is just gonna "Trump you" or Write a song and mention that they have them.. then everyone will want them, thus defeating the whole purpose of being an "exclusive style head"

Not that I even really care about spending the money, because I don't mind spending on quality.. it's just that REALLY??!!?! $500 for some shoes'??? they better come with a blowjob right after you put them on for the first two weeks.

I'm just tired of hearing about "niggas wiff style/Swag" just because they spent a little bit of money on some clothes.

Don't get me wrong.. I love streetwear.. but it's gonna start dying soon. It like most underground/cool things is starting to get commercialized. Which is great for all the creators and people that have put their blood sweat and tears into the product. But it's horrible for people like me who don't want to make clothes, but still want style and aesthetic to go along with our individuality.

Now any idiot with with a computer and a membership to Karmaloop (which I think is the death of streetwear) can feel like they have style and substance. When in reality you know nothing about the clothes that your putting on your back. You don't know that The Hundreds is a Skate brand, but you love it??? What part of the game is that?? Most of the People that are gonna start wearing that brand within the next year or so are most likely people that made fun of me for wanting to skate and being into that culture.

I could really get into a crazy rant about this.. but i'm gonna spare you guys for now.

I DO

I have a thing for her.
To bad by the time i'm established or in a position to actually make a move on her, she'll either be married or too old.

Hopefully I can get that Demi Moore/Ashton Kutcher Love tho.

Check out those graphics BRAAAAAH

I love old school nintendo games.. as if you couldnt tell.

Lose/Lose situation

Pick The Perp. Super addictive game that I suck at.
Try it out HERE!!

I really can't stop playing this.

Lights, Camera, Action

Throughout my my life i've seemingly made a smooth transition from watching countless hours of T.V. to watching an endless amount of movies. When I was younger I would watch T.V. all day, (which in my mind is the reason that I have good Context skill.) and more often than not it was shows that were meant for my age group

You get the idea... I was a pretty normal kid (other than the whole not knowing if I was supposed to act black or white thing)
But then there were times where I believe that having cable TV matured me at a rate faster than what was meant. ie....
Trying to stay home from school so that I could watch Jerry Springer (you got coolest kid of the day by default if you knew or saw the fight that went down on there the day before)

or staying up hella late (at that time in life) and having your finger on the last channel button to espn, because the channel you were watching was Cinemax.. and not just any cinemax, AFTERDARK and it would be some type of Emmanuel series.

and countless other shows and programs that in retrospect I should have never been allowed to watch, but am glad that I did.

But somewhere down the line T.V. got very dull and mundane to me. I think this was around the time where the only shows I would get excited about were...

It seemed like other than these and a handful of other shows were the only things that could keep my attention. MTV was dying out, BET had always disgusted me, and even my prized nickelodeon was turning its back towards greatness.
So I stopped watching TV altogether.. My family moved out into the country near KingsDominon and I really started to embrace my Love affair with music, and art.

Even though Music was and is my favorite thing in the world, I still felt a little piece of myself was missing.. no more TGIF, no more saturday morning cartoons, no more waking up early on summer days and watching some rando movie on cable... wait that's what I was missing. Movies!

I realized that I had watched a ton of movies when I was younger (even though I was reading at a 7th grade level in 5th grade.) I never really fully understood what all was going on. So I started wathching every movie I could.

most of my paychecks would go towards Taco Bell and renting movies. It never failed, I would get two new releases and get an older movie.

Now i'm a movie fanatic (notice I didn't say buff, I don't need to lose anymore bets.)
As corny and cliche' as it is to say, movies are magical when made right. Action/Horror/Drama/Suspense and especially comedies all help to complete my life.

Now if I can only find a job where I can score movie soundtracks.

He's Gumby dammnit!

Here's that Newness from my Homie sir gumby.

Canned heat- Gumby remix

Gumby has been on a roll with the bmore edit's ever since i've known him, and he just keeps getting better and better. If your not broke or busy come down to charlotte with us in july, and watch him work the decks for our homie cristos' bday party at the Forum.

also peep that
Myspace

Artist's be so different....

I've been feeling stop motion video's a lot as of late, but this one blows me away.

but still on that stop motion tip, this is my favorite.

I really admire works like this, because even though I have no idea how to make it, I know that it takes a ton of skill and patience. Which I have zero of the latter.

Just imagine how hype PES was getting when he was coming up with this, that feeling of your brain putting two things together like the post it notes as butter or that yarn as the cheese. Things like this is why i'll forever be a fan of art.

Just because you blessed wit cash....

Doesn't mean ya girl won't let me caress dat ass...

This was honestly my favorite song the summer that it came out. LL has been slacking lately (not everyone can rhyme like jay and nas well into there 30s and 40s, so I understand)
but when he was in his prime, this nigga was MONEY!!!

For those that don't know me.

Cuz for some reason most of the rando's that are following me on twitter and are my friend on DA EFF BEE are checking out my blog.
So I figured i'd help you all get to know me a little bit better.

ATCQ = My favorite rap group of all times.

Interpol = My favorite rock group.

And Dave Chappelle is my Hero.

And I Quote.

Never watch these movies with me if you dont like people saying the lines along with the actors.

"DONT GIMMIE DAT SHIT MANNN!!!"

"Every time I come in da kitchen"

"Gimmie tha gun tre!"

"oh lawdy lawd!!"

"hurryupanbuy!"

"Ricky was shaving points!!!!"

"Sunset park what time is it"

There are tons more (i'm kind of a movie freak) but you get the idea.

You can miss me with all dis!

Whats the point of this.. how you just gonna take away video games from me like this. Video games are one of my favorite things in this world, and not just like on some World of Warcraft tip. I'm talking about playing mario when I was 4 and beating it when I was 5. Growing up and hanging out with my super ghetto cousins and playing video games all day long (or until the neighborhood hoochies rolled thru, not that I ever did anything.. I didn't shake that shyness til about 8th grade.) We used to get into real arguments about Goldeneye/Wave race/Killer Instinct/WCWvsNWO and countless others. ALL WHILE SITTING THE HELL DOWN we would have gotten into real fights with all this extra movement. Plus this is gonna keep kids active to a point.. I and my sister have learned ways around working too hard at wii games.. this shouldn't be too much different.
and for serious, what if your in a wheel chair.. that skate game is gonna piss you the hell off.

Don't get me wrong i'm all for technology, but lets just focus on making really good games.

I dont really get down with White girls anymore...

But I would go to hell and back for this one.

She's looked amazing to me in every movie i've ever seen her in (especially the one with topher grace) and I also enjoyed her role in Vikky Christina Barcalona.

If anybody can hook this up please let a half brutha know.

The one thing this city is good for.

Is having some of the wierdest mofo's ever. Old, Young, poor, rich. ALL WIERD.
In honor of this, here's my 5 fav wierdest tracks ever.
5. Wierd in it's own right. but sooooo good.

4. Would you ever really tell a chick this?

3. This one mainly because of the movie.

2.This song used to get played by my pops every saturday while I was growing up. Back then he was a wierd dood to me, cuz he had an afro and my mom said he was stuck in the late 70's

1.10ISEE

*Didn't quite make it.. but still wierd and great
Jay electronica- The Pledge
Immortal Techniques- The song about the kid rapeing his moms.
almost anysong by aesop rock.

Goooooaaaaaaaalllllllllll!

I hate how good this guy is. Or when people pick INTER Milan on FIFA, but you cant deny his talents.

This is my Favorite player in the world.. and for good reason.

I dont know why more people in the US dont watch soccer. Its much more exciting than baseball is.. and undeniebly the most suspenseful game on earth. I myself happen to be cursed with the "sneeze and miss a goal" gene.. but I still love to watch it. I can watch an entire 90 mins... and I cant sit through anything for 90 mins.

What alot of you dont know

Is that I used to be really big into Hardcore/Metalcore
and that these were my Favorite bands.

Black Paper Diary

The Black Dahlia Murder

Shai Hulud

Unearth

Now i'm sure alot of you are saying, "but Joey, your half black, with a somewhat SneakerHead exterior, how can this be?"
my response to this is
"STFU"

EasterEgg Huntz

This guy is SOOOOO dope. Listen to it right now

he's reppin outta Portland, and I wanna bring him to RVA soon. Help me make this happen, by actually coming out of your houses and off of your rooftops and porches and dance. On second thought Rooftop Banger??? Lets not all turn into pussies cuz that Deck collapesed last year...

And honestly if you can't get down to his "ghetto footworking" track.. I can't do anything with you.

Some good tracks on the low.

Miike Snow - Cult Logic

L.A. Boxers - The Chamber

Kid Cudi - She Came Along

Soulja Boy, Gigamesh - Turn My Swag On (DiscoTech Remix)

Is this real life???

I dont get how someone can spaz out so much?? This is super awkward.

I dont understand where the remote to the ass comes into play, maybe that and him going in and out of the closet are symbolic.
are WOW users just closet GHEYS???

I heart John Witherspoon

And this is why!

For better or For worse

I'm gonna try and stick to somewhat of a format with this blog.
Some of the ideas that i've been coming up with are....
Monday Madness, where i'll simply try and find the craziest video I can and post it up for your enjoyment. Pretty zany right.. seriously i've seen alot of crazy things on the interwebs.

Scarlett Johansson Wedsdays.. pretty self explanatory.

(if anybody wants to out me for biting my favorite blogs steez please do it now.)

noob of the week???
Tweet of the week???
keyboard cat of the week???
world of warcraft spazout of the week???
HaircutsFTW

the options are endless.

It took a while.

But i'm back like I never left. So what its a brand new blog.. i'm gonna start off like I been doing this for years.

Here's what i've been listening to on the regular.

There is just something about this track that really gets to me.. like when I used to play around on my old roomates drum machine.. this is the type of beat that would come out of my lackluster attempt at greatness.
And even though i'm not normally attracted to Ginger's LaRoux gets it done for me.

A1 bassline can do no wrong in my book. I have yet to hear a track from this guy that isnt solid yet. It takes a while to break out, but this song has summer dance anthem written all over it. I wish kids around here were more willing to take a chance and let loose. Just because it's not MSTRKRFT or Justice doesnt mean that you can't dance to it.

This chick is a white R&B singer over in the UK. She's pretty popular over there, and this stuff is considered somewhat "mainstream" I need to make that move across the pond for a little while. I would actually listen to the radio if stuff like this got played.. and not just Keri Hilson every 20 mins. or that damn Drake song. I have alot of bad opinions on the radio.. way to much for this post.. maybe down the road i'll unleash that fury.

Not much I can really say about LL. I think his album tittle "All World" pretty much sums it up. I did know all the lyrics to this when it first came out. This is one of the songs that molded me into the guy that wants to "be a smoothe operator", needless to say i'm not.

Before you judge.. I happen to be a fan of Gucci mane, and not just a closet fan like most people these days. So what the guy is getting a little bit of shine, he's making hits and hasn't compromised his style. Gucci haters make me sick, they are always the first and loudest in the club yelling "Bitch I might be!" SMH.

This easily has to be one of my top 10 favorite songs of all time. I really really got into this band when I was back in Highschool. This song helped me to not feel as bad about every girl that i've broken up with in the past 7 years.
